Hahn Air Lines has taken delivery of a Cessna Citation Sovereign.

The German operator took delivery of the aircraft during a special ceremony at this year’s National Business Aviation Administration’s conference and exhibition in Las Vegas.

2007-build Citation Sovereign MSN 680-0142 was previously by CitationShares as N685CS, but has now taken up the German registration D-CHRD.

Following some further modifications by Cessna in Wichita, the aircraft will be delivered to Hahn Air’s base at Dusseldorf before the end November. The company says that it will begin Sovereign operations before the end of the year.

Hahn Air say that they will use the aircraft to expand its flights to medium and long range destinations, including Canada and the UAE.

“As a global player in the airline industry and a member of major airline alliances such as IATA, GBAA and ERA, we are pleased to take another step towards expanding our charter business as well as our reach. We are certain that the Sovereign is a great fit for Hahn Air’s charter business due to its exceptional performance and range and will enable us to further extend our flight network.” said Daniel Rudas, general manager and COO, Hahn Air Lines.

The Sovereign joins Hahan Air’s existing fleet of two Cessna Citation CJ4s. The first of the CJ4s was delivered to Hahan Air during the 2011 NBAA.
