The upgrade includes large Active Matrix Liquid Crystal Displays (AMLCDs) and a combination of high integrity systems to help improve operational safety.

Pro Line 21 is a prerequisite for FANS (Future Air Navigation System) operation, which has begun implimentation and is due to be fully effective by 2020.

Last year, Dassault Falcon announced that it will include FANS capabilities in its EASy II equipped Falcon 900, Falcon 2000 and Falcon 7X aircraft. Dassault Falcon is currently in the process of developing a FANS upgrade.

“We are pleased to install these upgrades to help our customers reach their destinations safely.”

Fabien Fuster, director of maintenance operations for Dassault aircraft at Jet Aviation Basel said: “We are pleased to install these upgrades to help our customers reach their destinations safely. Our goal is to ensure the highest safety standards and the Pro Line 21 upgrade offers value-adding capabilities that comply with the latest navigation mandates.”
