Comlux Malta earns IS-BAO certificate

Comlux Malta, the European charter division of Fly Comlux, which is part of Comlux The Aviation Group, has been awarded the Certificate of Registration to the International Standard for Business Aircraft Operations (IS-BAO).

The certification confirms that Comlux Malta has met the recommended code of best practices designed to help business aircraft operators achieve high levels of safety and professionalism.

Tomislav Zorman, general manager of Fly Comlux operational control centre, said: “Meeting this world class standard of safety and security demonstrates the commitment, hard work and professionalism of the entire Fly Comlux team, not only as a certified operator but also as a certified aircraft management company.

“Our charter and aircraft management customers will benefit from the assurance that our operations meet and exceed international best standards.”

The certificate was issued by the International Business Aviation Council, Montreal – Canada and verified through an audit conducted by an independent accredited IS-BAO auditor.

“The foundation of IS-BAO is the development of a Safety Management System (SMS), said Andrea Zanetto, CEO of Fly Comlux said. “Prior to the IS-BAO certification, it is important to highlight that Fly Comlux was one of the first VIP aviation companies in Europe to successfully implement a SMS fully compliant with the latest European regulations which become mandatory in October 2014. SMS allows us to enhance the safety and reliability of our VIP flight operations around the world.”

Fly Comlux currently has eight business jets available for charter, comprising of three VIP airliners, a Bombardier Global 5000 and Global 6000, a Challenger 605, an Embraer Legacy 650 and a Hawker 900XP.
