Cutter Aviation and Rockwell Collins are near to completing an STC for Hawker 400XP and Beech 400A executive aircraft.

Cutter Aviation, headquartered in Phoenix,
Arizona and Rockwell Collins have announced that they are near to completing a
Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) to upgrade Hawker 400XP and Beechjet 400As
for Localiser Performance with Vertical Guidance (LPV) utilizing the Wide Area
Augmentation System (WAAS). The companies expect the STC to be available after
20 December and Cutter is already in discussions with operators about their
requirements and scheduling the upgrade on their aircraft.

The STC will allow the Hawker 400XP and
Beechjet 400A to take advantage of the more than 2300 plus LPV approaches available
with minimum decision heights as low as 200 feet.  The access to LPV
minimums means greater accessibility to more places.  The new generation equipment also allows for more efficient and
smoother approach profiles.
