David Best joins Jet Aviation as head of Global Business Development

Jet Aviation has appointed David Best as head of its Global Business Development department. Best is based in Palm Beach, FL, will report directly to Johannes Turzer, senior vice president of Strategic Global Growth.

As head of Global Business Development, Best will identify, investigate, evaluate, develop and integrate strategic business alliances. Best joins the company from Claymore Hill Advisory based in Orlando, FL, a global aviation and business advisory consultancy of which he was the founder and principal.

Prior to returning to the US in 2015, David was president of BBA Aviation Asia Pacific, based in Singapore, leading strategic development of the Services and Aftermarket business, along with the operational performance of other BBA Aviation companies in the region. He previously served as Signature Flight Support chief commercial officer in the USA and as Signature’s managing director for Europe, Middle East and Africa, where he grew the business to 23 FBOs in Europe.

Johannes Turzer said: “David has lived and worked in Europe, Asia and the US throughout his business career, and brings the necessary knowledge and expertise in all aspects of strategy, corporate growth, acquisitions and business aviation infrastructure to this new role. I have no doubt that he’ll add great value to the company, while ensuring our growth strategy is globally aligned and executed effectively.”
