European flight activity up in June, down on year
Business aviation flights in June were up year-on-year, but 2015s flight activity is still down on 2014.
According to WINGX Advance June Business Aviation Monitor there is some growth in key European markets, but heavy declines in East and South-East Europe.
Overall there were 80,945 business aviation departures in Europe during June 2015, up 1.8% on June 2014.
Growth during June was boosted by activity in Western Europe, where a six percent increase in movements was recorded. France and Germany saw the largest increases, with a combined increase of 37 percent.
The company also say they saw a surge in Bombardier Global Express and Challenger 300 activity during the month.
But despite the gains during the month, flight activity in 2015 is still 1.1% down on the 2014.
“Geographically evident that the gains came from leading EU markets, also Scandinavia and Baltics, in contrast to heavy declines in East and South-East Europe” said the company in a press release.
