Falcon orders and deliveries fall in 2016

Dassault won 33 orders for its Falcon business jet line during 2016. The French manufacturer also recorded 12 Falcon 5X cancellations during the year, taking its net orders for the year to 21 aircraft.
The manufacturer says that the weakness in orders is a reflection of a difficult market.
A total of 49 Falcon business jets were delivered during the year, down from 55 in 2015.
Although Dassault had originally projected 60 deliveries in 2016, the company revised this down to 50 in the middle of the year.
The full year delivery total includes the initial set of Falcon 8X deliveries.
Combined backlog for all Falcon aircraft stood at 63 aircraft at the end of 2016, down from 91 at the end of 2015.
At the mid point of the year the company stated that they had taken in 22 orders, and recorded 11 Falcon 5X cancellations.
