Flexjet takes delivery of “one of the finest aircraft in business aviation”

Fractional jet provider Flexjet is taking delivery of two Gulfstream G650s – making it the only company in its category of shared jet ownership to offer the award-winning aircraft.
Flexjet took delivery of the first G650 last week and is due to take delivery of the second this week. These are the eighth and ninth Gulfstreams to join the Flexjet fleet out of a total order of 50 – the company already has seven G450s and is expected to receive eight G500s early next year.
“The ultra long-range category has continued to grow year on year. With more than 250 Gulfstream G650 aircraft in operation to date, it is an iconic aircraft in this class,” said Flexjet chairman Kenn Ricci. “To see the Flexjet livery on one of the finest aircraft in business aviation is truly a proud moment for all of us.
“This is a pivotal moment in Flexjet’s history as we solidify our position as a major player in the global private aviation space.”
The G650 has a cruising speed of 561 miles per hour, a cruising altitude of 51,000 feet, and a range of 8,056 miles. Its cabin features 16 panoramic windows and a low cabin altitude, allowing passengers to arrive at their destination feeling more rested and alert than they would on other aircraft.
The aircraft joining Flexjet’s fleet will be part of the company’s Red Label programme, which offers travellers a personalised flying experience and access to the world’s youngest fractional jet fleet, custom cabin interiors and flight crews dedicated to a single aircraft.
The first Flexjet G650 features the Cosmos interior, which, Flexjet says, “incorporates colours and materials not typically seen in private aviation”. It features a private stateroom with large-screen TV.
