GlobeAir operates 16 Citation Mustang jets, the company says growth in the luxury holiday market has resulted in an increase in demand for leisure private aviation.

The company estimates that around 67% of the flights it operates today are for ‘leisure’ purposes, and corresponding figures in 2016 and 2015 are around 62% and 59% respectively.

In terms of top luxury ‘holiday’ destinations this Summer, GlobeAir is reporting a growing interest from clients who are chartering its jets to the Côte d’Azur, in particular to St.Tropez, followed by Cannes and Nice. The second most popular destination is Ibiza, in the Balearic Islands, which is attracting the air taxi traffic for the third years in a row, and finally Olbia, in Sardinia, that grew by 165% after a few years of decrease
