Meridian Air Charter names Emil Iannone as its new director of operations.

Merridian Air Charter based at Teterboro Airport in New York has named Emil Iannone as its new director of operations.

Iannone was previously employed with Meridian for over ten years in several key positions, including director of operations, before taking on new challenges in the New York City corporate world.

“I am very happy to be back with Meridian,” said Iannone.  “It’s great to see how the company has grown and kept up with the new technologies and other advances in the industry.  This is a really good fit for me and I look forward to being part of the company’s continued growth.”

He is type rated in a wide variety of aircraft including Gulfstreams, Learjets and Cessna Citations.

In 2000, Iannone was offered the opportunity to take his talents and expertise to a New York City investment banking firm.

“We are thrilled that Emil is managing the operations group of Meridian Air Charter,” said Dennis O’Connell, president of Meridian Air Charter.

“I worked with Emil when he was here before, and it is great to have him back.  I think the additional management experience he gained in his most recent position only enhances his operational expertise and will contribute to his continued success with Meridian,” added O’Connell.
