NBAA BACE 2019 Press Day – Live

Gulfstream’s special event later this afternoon is hanging over the NBAA press day like Banquo’s ghost.

The Gulfstream event starts at 5pm with the announcement later. Gulfstream actually cancelled their own press conference this morning. They are being coy on the launch of the new aircraft (although much more has leaked out this time than when they announced the G500 and G600. The official invite says: “History is made by those who dare – please join us for the biggest announcement in business aviation”

This is not to say that it is the only news. Flexjet announced a $1.4 billion with Embraer for Phenom 300s, Praetor and Legacy (which will be converted into Praetor aircraft). This makes Flexjet the launch fleet buyer for the Praetor.

One aircraft we won’t be seeing is the next Falcon, although Dassault did say it is currently working on it, and that it will be unveiled next year.

VistaJet is planning to buy six Bombardier Global 7500s. It will take the first in January 2020.

HondaJet announced a new authorised service centre in Wilmington. This is its seventh in the US. It also announced that Tom Cruise has bought a HondaJet – with a livery personally designed by HondaJet’s CEO Michimasa Fujino.
