Nick Sandler: the young gun

Nick Sandler is No. 8 on the Corporate Jet Investor Power List 2015.

Nick Sandler is not as well known as his former Guggenheim colleagues Chris Miller or Jim Crowley (both of whom are worth following with their respective new companies Shearwater and Volostar). But in 2015 Sandler – who is still in his thirties – will have a far higher profile.

While Global Jet Capital dominated NBAA, Guggenheim Business Aircraft Investments quietly financed aircraft worth $250 million in 2014 – up significantly on 2013. Most importantly, it has raised a new fund dedicated to business jet investments (with Kenn Ricci’s Directional Capital just one investor) and has cash to invest in 2015.  The new fund is also likely to be given its own name.
