PlaneSense has added a new country Cuba to its fractional ownership program.

Flights can begin immediately into seven airports, including those in the country’s two largest cities, Santiago and Havana.

The US ban on travel to Cuba was in place for over five decades. It was lifted in 2016 and the first commercial airline flight to Cuba occurred in August. Having completed all the appropriate applications and certifications, PlaneSense completed its first flight to the Cuba in December.

“Traveling to Cuba, visiting Old Havana, experiencing the lifestyle, the music, the classic cars– it’s an extraordinary opportunity whether you’re visiting for business or leisure.”

George Antoniadis, CEO of PlaneSense said: “Traveling to Cuba, visiting Old Havana, experiencing the lifestyle, the music, the classic cars– it’s an extraordinary opportunity whether you’re visiting for business or leisure. We’re so pleased to be one of the first companies to offer this destination to our PlaneSense aircraft share owners so they may experience Cuba’s beauty and authenticity at this unique time in U.S. and Cuban history.”

PlaneSense is one of the oldest and largest fractional aircraft ownership companies, which offers individuals and companies the opportunity to own part of a plane within a large fleet. Ownership provides the ability to fly privately and conveniently to four times as many airports as some fractional ownership companies.

The flight from South Florida to Havana takes a little over an hour in the Pilatus PC-12 aircraft. The fleet diversity was recently expanded with the introduction of several Nextant 400XTi jets in preparation for the arrival of Pilatus PC-24 jets in late 2017.

With the introduction of jets to its fleet, PlaneSense is pleased to now also offer flights to Bermuda, an international centre for financial services as well as a vacation destination and host to the 35th Annual America’s Cup in May 2017.

“Being a highly customer-focused company, we are always looking for new opportunities for our fractional share owners, such as travel to Cuba or Bermuda. Our new fractional jet program only increases these choices,” added Antoniadis.
