Millennial Technologies has signed the first international Cessna Citation VII aircraft for Universal Avionics’ new InSight display system – the second installation of the system in the Citation VII since the STC received FAA approval just over a month ago.

Universal Avionics announced the deal by its authorised dealer at NBAA-BACE earlier this week.

The installation will be done at Millennial’s Florida facility, and will feature Universal’s InSight display system, engine interface unit, TAWS Class A, and UNS-1Fw SBAS flight management system with ADS-B Out.

“Working with Millennial Technologies and expanding the reach outside of the United States for Insight and its advanced technology is a great benefit for both operators and universal dealers/integrators,” said Universal’s programme development manager and regional sales manager for Latin America, Corey Wilkinson.

“We look forward to more interest and opportunities for both of us.”

Gabriel Maestracci, Millennial’s CEO, said the company was “very pleased” to be working with Universal on the “state of the art” retrofit system installation for a Latin American client.

The InSight system offers a range of embedded features, including next generation synthetic vision with advanced mapping capability, electronic charts, frequency management and broadcast weather. And because it’s an integrated system, it can work with federated components such as attitude/heading sensors, air data computers, radar, traffic systems, radios and autopilots.
