Business aviation services provider Jet Aviation announced that it has signed an agreement with World Fuel Services to ensure availability of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) at its Basel aviation facility.

“This is a fantastic achievement, and we are incredibly proud to bring SAF to Basel for the first time,” said Jeremie Caillet, president at Jet Aviation. “As our global headquarters and largest maintenance site, as well as home to our VIP completions business, Basel is central to our network. Making SAF available for customers here reinforces our commitment to working together with our partners to continue increasing access to SAF as part of our contribution towards the industry’s efforts for a more sustainable future.”

The operator said that SAF will be available effective immediately at its Basel site.

The company was the first to deliver SAF in Switzerland during the World Economic Forum 2020. Since then, it has provided an on-site supply in Geneva during EBACE 2022, 2023, and 2024.

“Since we first brought in SAF for WEF 2020, it has been our vision to provide an ongoing supply in Switzerland,” says Joao Martins, Jet Aviation’s vice president of FBO services in Europe. “I am delighted that we have achieved that today, and I would like to thank our teams in Basel and Zurich, as well as our partners at World Fuel Services and the EuroAirport, for their support in making this a reality.”

In addition to its Basel site, Jet Aviation has also ensure SAF availability at its locations in Amsterdam and Rotterdam, the Netherlands, Singapore, Van Nuys, California, Bozeman, Montana, and Scottsdale, Arizona and via book and claim anywhere in the world.

The company also recently announced plans to introduce SAF in Dallas, Texas, Houston, Texas, Palm Beach, Florida, Bedford, Massachusetts, Teterboro, New Jersey, as of January 2025, with plans to also provide SAF at its new FBO in Miami-Opa Locka, Florida, upon operation.

Jet Aviation is a wholly owned subsidiary of General Dynamics.

Jet Aviation to ensure SAF availability at WEF 2025 for fourth consecutive year

In addition, Jet Aviation also announced that it will supply SAF at its Zurich FBO during the World Economic Forum (WEF) 2025.

This is the fourth year that Jet Aviation has worked with Zurich Airport to have SAF available on-site for visitors during WEF.

“We are delighted to be able to offer SAF on-site again during the World Economic Forum in Davos,” said Joao Martins, vice president regional FBO operations Europe and General Manager Zurich.

“We promise our customers a seamless experience, and this includes offering more sustainable choices, such as access to SAF. We are incredibly proud to be able to provide this choice at all of our sites in Switzerland, either via temporary on-site supplies for key events in Zurich and Geneva, or with a permanent supply at our headquarters in Basel.”
